Upton Village Wins Housing Innovation Award

Upton Village, on the former Plaistow Hospital site, has won the ‘Most Innovative Affordable Housing Scheme’ award at the Housing Innovation Awards 2017.

The award ceremony was held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London on Wednesday 8th February 2017, and celebrated pioneering spirit, highlighting examples of inventive and original schemes and services.

The redevelopment of Plaistow Hospital project was won in 2012 as part of an open Architectural competition ‘150 Homes for 150 Years’ , which was in celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the client, Peabody. Now completed, PCKO, an AHR Company, are delighted to have won the ‘Most Innovative Affordable Housing Scheme’ award with Peabody, and to have worked with contractor, Galliford Try on this project.
